Hello Sue.

This may not be your issue but consider that .TMP files have some form of
magic for XP. I suggest that you save to a file with a .txt extension
instead. Also beware of loading Papyrus into the XP's "Program Files"
directory. Traditionally it would be in C:\PAP but Windows 98 would have
tolerated it in C:\Program Files\PAP WinXP on the other hand demands
system administrator rights to create files in the C:\Program Files
subdirectory, unless you deliberately assign permissions for vanilla users
to modify particular directories.

Depending on how your system is set up and what administrative policies are
in effect, the whole of C:\ drive may have reduced permissions, denying you
the ability to create files in anything other than your own area (basically
your desktop and My Documents folders.) If that is the case, a call to
your local friendly system administrator would be on the cards.

Apols if this is stale news or otherwise unhelpful!

Cheers,
Denis
