You mentioned 11x17, brother had on like that several years ago, and 
MFC-J6920DW that has turned into a great printer using their drivers. 
Ink jet tech, 11x17 by rear slot feed which is unhandy at best. Scanner 
also covers 11x17 and has an adf for a4/letter stuff.  ink it 
reasonable. color on good glossy paper is great. They may perhaps have a 
newer model today, check at a staples in their brother display.  They 
also support linux. windoze can't find a place to survive here.
