Wrong order I think. dmode s/b be 1st, and I never heard of the NEW
command. My machine has died, so I can't test, but unless its been
passed the disk format as options, format uses the device descriptor as
a model. There are other options. Using drivewire from linux, you can
create a 100 megabyte by name, and make a descriptor for on the coco
running notros9, use drivewire to link it as a drive, one of the /x#
descriptors amd start using it, anything you put in it becomes visible
to the coco, and vice versa.

With my machine suffering a terminal case of dried out, bad capacitors,
it wasn't turned off for 25 years and everything else going on in my
life, heart attacks, the wife of 30 years in a nursing home I trying to
figure out how to pay for, so I am alone now, and it probably isn't
going to get fixed.

Sorry but the years and long term diabetes are catching up to me..

Cheers, Gene Heskett
