My own experience with BASIC (on a CoCo) led me to a position of Senior
Analyst with a regional computer firm that specialized in 'turn-key'
business solutions (Accounts Payable, Purchase Order Processing, Inventory
Mgt, etc) all written using Business Basic of MAI/Basic-4, Plexus, and
Mercator multi-user computers. I did that for 10 years before joining the
Fed Govt as a system analyst (which I recently retired from after 30+
years).
