Yep, the key to MAME is bite the bullet and learn to use it from the command line. Every option is (or should be) available from the command line.

I would still like to see a cheat sheet of all the command line options that are relevant to the CoCo.

A couple issues (amongst others) I have w/ MAME/MESS are:

I don’t like (or understand) the washed out look of the CoCo1&2 drivers text screen. I use XRoar for CoCo1/2.

The CoCo3 driver default text screen looks good. But it’s still NOT pixel perfect. Here is what I mean:

Now do a screenshot – load into a paint program and zoom up to see the pixels. They are fuzzy – they are doing some sort of shading to make it look better, less pixelly perhaps? Or is this because the default size of the screen is not the correct. Is there a setting that makes MAME pixel perfect?

If you are playing a game (full screen or not) -- it's not a problem. But if you are designing a game and looking at the pixel level, seems that would pose a problem.

Also, I don't like the way the mouse pointer works, but perhaps I saw there is a setting/fix for that (or I need to d/l the latest version)
