I have used the vi patched version exclusively it came out. But it quit 
working a few years back because Nitros9 grew some device descriptors 
whose names started with a v, so I had to use dEd on my copy and extend 
the name, obviously with an "m", so now my copy it named vim. You can 
grab the executable from near the bottom of the file listing at the 
Genes-os9-stf link on my web page, in the signature below.
