Hi Joe,

Just to set the record straight, Darren Atkinson is the designer who created the CoCo SDC, and should receive that credit.
I’ve been the producer for his creation over the last few years. Thank you for the kind words though, I do put a lot of effort into
putting out quality hardware. It’s always nice to know it’s appreciated. :)

For what it’s worth, I didn’t take your post as putting pressure on anyone to develop something or making demands, having
expectations, etc… I just took it as genuine interest in a large RAM upgrade.

Anyway, everything all good here as far as I’m concerned. CoCo on everybody. :D

You assume quite a bit. I in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM think that Ed should be THE PERSON to design such a board (although even if he did, I am sure it would work just fine right out of the box). I have one of Ed's SDC Cards that I bought from Ed a short while ago and I even told him that the quality of his workmanship and his attention to detail is (to me anyway) outstanding. Ed is (in my opinion) a Master Craftsman. I also told Ed that he has created something that he should be very proud of. I would never think of disparaging Ed (or his work) in any form. Never...

Nor would I rub someones nose in it for not being one. That is below me and I was not taught to be like that towards others. Perhaps you missed that lesson.

You also state that "(as one of the "somebody elses" who design such hardware) such an emphatic question does not come across as benign in email". WOW, really??? I'm at a loss for words...

I realize that other people have lives to live that don't revolve around their (or others) CoCo. I also realize that they too have regular jobs that again don't revolve around the CoCo. I even have one of those jobs. Again, you assume.

I hope this helps. Also Jim, thanks for the explanations on the different Mods and upgrades. It helped. Also one last thing. I apologize if anyone was offended by my rant but I wanted to set the record straight.
