I was just about to respond to Gene's post on this matter. This leaves
me in the dust until I get my other coco working again. It will be about
a month before that happens. WOP.... waiting on parts.
No problem. I'll just keep plugging till then.
The coco I'm using right now does not have room for another card in
that cabinet, it only has one 3.5 inch drive and this PC has no
floppies. I looked through my drives, on hand, and the only two I have
are 1.44 only drives.
The other coco has two floppies and 3 com ports that can be connected
to this PC via a DB9 to USB converter.
That coco also has a Ken-Ton SCSI board and I have three drives to
work with to find out if I can get one of them to work...to replace the
one that broke.
Dangit!! I hate when things break down. So far, both my CM-8s have
died and the hard disk. So, in time, I'll be up and running as before.
Then I can easily get files back and forth between this PC and those cocos.
I'm thinking of building another cabinet for my CNC coco so I can add
to it. Right now, it's in an antique modem case. However, I may not need
another case for that coco if I do get DWire working on it but, that
won't happen until I get the broken Coco working again.
