[Coco] Ultimuse collections

Bob, the ume file in the archive and on my site (I think they're the same), are from the RTSI collection which I think was part of the Delphi collection. And yes, I too think there was more of them.

The disks you're referring to were by Ed Hathaway from Second City Software, the Ultimuse3 distributor. I think some songs from that collection are also in the ume collection found on RTSI as "individual" files as well. I have them on my site but currently there is a problem with the disk files. I had inadvertently saved them in DMK format. I just recently changed them back to JVC but now they won't read in Vcc (but do read in dw4) so I'm going through them again. I should have them fixed before the end of the week. The files I have that don't seem to be in the archives are:

2nd City Library Beatles 1.dsk
2nd City Library Beatles 2.dsk
2nd City Library Beatles 3.dsk
2nd City Library Led Zepplin 1.dsk
2nd City Library Ulti-Rock.dsk

I also have a collection for Lyra from Rulaford Research & Musiware:

Lyra Trax Disk 1 - Gospel ser-3.dsk
Lyra Trax Disk 2 - Pop & Rock ser-32.dsk
Lyra Trax Disk 3 - Christmas ser-62.dsk
Lyra Trax Disk 4 - James Bond ser-112.dsk
Lyra Trax Disk 5 - Classical ser-101.dsk
Lyra Trax Disk 6 - Classical ser-91.dsk

As I said, I should have them readable again in a day or so. The Lyra disks have been fixed.
I'm also going to go through them and convert the songs to General Midi as most are unplayable in DW4 Midi without setting DW4 Midi Profiles for each one.

BTW... have you tried my new release of Ultimuse3 v10.11.3A ? It now supports DW4 Midi Device & Profile selection as well as "live" internet software updating (via dw4). I also did away with the need for external "tmode", "pwd" and fixed that annoying bell sound.

There's also a new version of Lyra on the Lyra page that will play through dw4 and Becker Port (Coco or Vcc) accessing HDBDOS's 255 drives (mods by Robert Gault & myself).

Subject: [Coco] Ultimuse collections

I'm a user of Mike Knudsen's Ultimuse 3 (and the 68K version), and love to
collect the music score files.

At one time there was an advertiser who had some disks with files from a
particulat group or singer. The beatles was one, and I remember Billy Joel. I
have One Billy Joel virtual album, but I haven't been able to locate either the
adverts or the files of the other file groupings.

Does anyone here have .ume files that are not already on the
colorcomputerarchive.com collection?

P.S. Ed Hathaway's name just popped into my mind. Was he the creator of those
collections?
