Again? 
Many of us have lived through this discussion repeatedly since the '80s. 
Even though it would be easier to accomplish now than in the past, I seriously doubt this idea will ever gain any traction. 
I wouldn't mind a higher performing system that would enhance NitrOS-9 . 
But an enhanced system with full legacy compatibility? 
I can't see that happening.
