There is no need to use CAS files for this either. Load up an empty WAV
file in the CASS slot and press the emulated record button and it will
CSAVE data directly to the WAV file.

You should be able to create blank/empty wav files using Audicity.

I could add AIFF support to MESS, but anything that can play AIFF on the
Mac should also support WAV.
