[Coco] Micropainter Pics

Hey all,

At some time in the past I apparently decided my Micropainter cartridge
was somewhat expendable, and I de-soldered the ROM and put in a socket.
Not quite sure what I had in mind there. Not quite sure I know exactly
where the Micropainter ROM is, though I can probably dig it up. I'm
sure I can 'obtain' a copy of the ROM image and burn it into an EPROM of
some sort (I may even have one or two 68766es, or whatever the 24-pin 8K
UV EPROM chip is) if I can't find my original. Before I go to the
trouble of doing that, I wonder if there would be easier ways to rescue
some Micropainter pictures off of cassette tapes.

Questions:

1. Does anybody know whether Micropainter works on the CoCo 3? I don't
recall that it doesn't, but...
2. Can it be saved to and loaded from floppy disk? (The program, not
the images.)
3. Is there any other program that can read in the Micropainter files
and convert them to a less obscure format? I think they may be PMODE 3,
is that right? In addition to the graphics data, I think they must have
at least a bit to select the color set, or am I remembering wrong?

Other ideas? Maybe I'll play the tape into the PC sound card, load them
up in an emulator, and do a screen grab.
