If it's NtrOS-9 based (or not... the vanilla target driver can be used for
RS-DOS development too), don't forget NoICE. Then you could serial target
debug over a virtual serial port.

As I recall, Boisy adapted the 6809 target driver for NitrOS-9 use.

Unlike for every other platform NoICE can target debug, for the 6809 it is
free of charge.
