Since this assembler belongs to Alan Baldwin, I'm not inclined to 
change its established parsing rules, because it is my intention to 
give him the changes I've made so he can roll them into his source 
base.  So to use this tool-chain, we are locked into the format of the 
assembler.  This isn't a big deal, so long as we can do everything we 
need to do in an OS-9 or DECB program.
