Rumor has it that KnudsenMJ at aol.com may have mentioned these words:
>
>I know that ZIP upgraded to 250 MB drives and disks, same physical size, so
>that may be part of it.

They went from 250Meg to 750Meg a year or two ago...

>I also noticed that after I "upgraded" my Norton Utilities, the Rescue
>function no longer supports making a ZIP disk backup. So Norton must
>have written
>off ZIP too.

That's because it would take so many to do a "normal" backup of most
people's desktops, they're not worth it...

>Too bad, those are my major backup medium on my PC. Much easier to use than
>CD-RW, which I can do but use only to make music disks.
>Anyone know the current status of ZIP disks? --Mike K.

They have their die-hard gurus, just like this group.

Speaking thereof... It's good to be back! ;-)) I'd rather... um... fallen
off the face of the CoCo planet for quite a while... No room for a CoCo
setup in my new, ancient, 1/3 size of my old house house, so I've mainly
concentrated on my Model 100s & 200s... But I'm gonna make the room to hook
up my CoCo3 again!

I plan on ordering an IDE interface for my CoCo in the next few weeks...
(Thanks for the help, Mark!) and I'm debating with a leftover 100Meg Zip
drive we have kicking around... or I just *happen* to have a few NOS 2.2Gig
Castlewood Orb Drives... ;-)
