[Papyrus-L] Possible alternatives to Papyrus

I have migrated from Papyrus to Zotero after researching other possibilities
and I am very happy with the system.
For me it was important to be able to keep all the notecards I had attached
to my references and that I can do with Zotero as well. Moreover, I did not
lose any of them during the migration process.
I have Mozilla Firefox, but, as James says below, a standalone version of
Zotero has been announced. In fact, I think it may have already been
released.

I`m using Zotero for collecting all kind of stuff from the web and from
PubMed. It`s definitely worth a try. I am surfing with Firefox only, and the
main reason for that is Zotero (besides Adblock Plus, Tab Mix Plus,
BetterPrivacy, Certifcate Patrol, NoScript, Stylish). A standalone version
of Zotero has been announced.
My wife has started studying again and uses the Zotero web service to
synchronize her references, PDFs, Openoffice-Docs etc. between her two PCs.
Below two references out of Zotero in AMA-style.
