Unfortunately, no. Either an unlimited number of people can work with a
database, all in read-only mode, or else a single person can work in
read/write mode.
The usual work-around is to make a copy of your *.BIB files at the end of
each day (or week, or whatever) and place these into a second directory for
access by the Retriever.
