[Papyrus-L] What I can, and cannot, tell you...

It could only be that RSD is plotting a hostile takeover of
Microsoft, or at least the Windows division of it, if the breakup
actually goes through. You heard it here first.

But really, asking why lawyers make seemingly irrational
requests is like asking why the universe exists at all. It just does,
and they just do. In general, it's not worthwhile making lawyers
unhappy if they're working for you; might as well respect Dave Goldman's
reticence.

OK, Papyrophiles, clearly there's an opportunity here.

Two prizes will be offered by an apocryphal donor (no real ones are
available, given the extensive donor fatigue that has set in as a result
of
fundraising by underfunded universities and research institutes
worldwide),
for guesses about Why The Lawyers Are Muzzling Dave. The first prize
will
be for the most accurate guess, and the second for the most improbable.
The
winning entries will be selected by an objective and impartial panel of
academic researchers (clearly a null set, which appeals to my
non-competitive side). Each prize will consist either of the
unrestrained
approbation of the Papyrus-using community, or a lifetime's stain on the

reputation of the winner, whichever seems more appropriate to the entry
in
question.
