 F.Y.I.
I can clone this repo via "HTTPS" just fine on my ubuntu machine but it will not clone from slackware with "HTTPS".  The version of git on slackware complains that the SSL certificate is expired.   In order to clone directly from slackware click on the "git://" option right next to the "HTTPS" option  and you'll get the git URL that does work when cloning from slackware.
Here is the command with the URL.
"git clone git://git.code.sf.net/p/drivewireserver/git drivewireserver-git"

o.k. so I figured out where I downloaded it from.  It is from sourceforge's git server tab,  duhhhh "slapping my forehead".
Just go to the sourceforge page and click on the tab that says "git" or click on this link.   "https://sourceforge.net/p/drivewireserver/git/ci/master/tree/"
Just copy the URL and clone it.

64 bit, and I'm using the JDK v8 that's packaged by Alien Bob. I tried
the most recent snapshot, and while this time it saw the libraries, it
wasn't able to load them.
