Yep, it doesn't refresh RAM, but for any given application it is very likely that you are going to have sufficient RAM coverage in your memory access to keep it refreshed without the separate refresh circuitry operating and even if it doesn't, you are unlikely to notice because the memory you are using is refreshed often enough.
