Some good news, there are a number of museums that are taking up the charge on
this subject. I'm a member of the Vintage Computer Federation Museum in Wall, NJ.
We have quite the collection and we rotate computers between storage and show.
We have a nice digital tube computer (Bendix) but getting power and parts for
that is not easy nor cheap. Still we have a number of unique devices and the typical
stuff. He have from the 1950's through the 1990's.

We also have a number of young gentlemen (very few ladies) who are
involved with some unique machines (IBM 390's, industrial PDP clones,
other cool stuff).

I'm sorry to say we don't have any military mechanical computers.
