Hi Everyone,
Ok, so I've gotten a BUNCH of replies about what might have caused this problem. Everything from a "Flaky" USB Cable to a Virus and/or a faulty Driver. In all honesty, I don't really care WHAT caused it (although it's nice to know now)...

WHAT I really need to know is HOW do I recover my missing files SAFELY (without damaging them any further)???

If anyone has ANY ideas what to use OR how to proceed I would appreciate it...
I am running a Windows 10 (64bit) system on a laptop with 8gig of memory right now as my main PC is down for repairs. And just so everyone knows, I run a Virus check EVERY WEEK religiously (so that's NOT the problem). I also check for SPAM and BLOATWARE and other things to keep an eye out for...

Any ideas on how to proceed???

Thanks...

Joe...
