My RS-232 Pak is working at 115200 baud over Ultimaterm to the WiFi module, thanks to Dave Chesek applying a modification to his TTL converter. I did the same thing and it works.
He used a wiring diagram I posted, which is what I tried earlier with jumper wires. This leads me to believe that, while my TX, RX and GND connections were working fine using jumpers, one or more of my others must not have been making contact, possibly due to one of my DB9 pin holes maybe not being a tight or deep.
I am going to revisit the jumpers now to see which of the mods is actually required.
The problem now is, you won’t be able to use these modules off-the-shelf without a bit of soldering. The kits I will be offering will have this done.
