[Coco] Thift store find rant

Here's an interesting story: I'm driving a Honda van that I bought new
in 2002. It's got almost 280,000 miles on it now but it still runs
great. Last summer we were in Ohio and had a flat. It's the first time
I've ever had a flat on the road. Most other cases were a slow leak
that didn't require immediately changing the tire. So I get out of the
car prepared to change the tire. The jack and the spare are there
because I've never had to use them. Unfortunately, the spare was flat!
Evidently it had just leaked out over 15 years of sitting there in it's
pristine little niche. :-)

Jacks and spare tires are a bigger mystery. You'd think someone would want to keep one of each in the car for emergencies! I find it strange that the owners manual is often missing in used cars... took it out for reading one day? I've been lucky there of late though. I've observed that the older the used car, the more likely jack/spare/manual is likely to be missing.
