[Coco] Booting OS9 on my CoCo 3

Dave dw4dos IS THE WRONG FILE!!!
Use dw3dos.
dw4dos was experimental for using 230k baud and will not work with NitrOS9. In fact, do not use ANYTHING from SF labeled dw4*** as it will NOT work. Always use dw3***.
These need to be renamed as people think that one is for DW3 and the other is for DW4 which is NOT the case. The dw3*** files work for both.

The same goes for hdbdw4***, you must use hdbdw3***

Ok, I just burned a ROM with 'dw4dos_mb_cc3.rom'. I installed it in my CoCo and when I boot up the screen says, "DW3 CC3 BOOT FAILED". I don't have a serial cable made up yet but should I assume that's ok so far? Even though the file is called "dw4dos..." the screen is saying DW3.DaveOn 8/8/2017 11:19 AM, Tormod Volden wrote:> On Tue, Aug 8, 2017 at 5:42 PM, Dave Philipsen wrote:>> Yeah, that might be a good idea.
