Thanks Dave, then the OS9 joy drivers should work unmodified and MShell should work with joystick/mouse as well as will MultiVue, Bash, MV Canvas, Shanghai, and many others.

Yes, the joysticks (analog ports) work just as the 'standard' joysticks work. If you write a simple BASIC program using the JOYSTK variables, it all works. Returns a 0-63 value.Dave Philipsen> On May 15, 2016, at 2:19 AM, Bill Pierce via Coco <coco at maltedmedia.com> wrote:> > I'm not sure how Gary implemented the joystick routines. If he emulated the coco joysticks so that RSDOS games can be played unmodified, then the OS9 mouse/Joystick should "Just Work". If it takes modification for RSDOS games as well, then the OS9 driver would also have to be modified (which should not be too big of a task).> As a sidenote, MShell if fully functional straight out of the box with keyboard only as well. All the keycodes (and directions) are in the included text file when you download MShell. MShell has been tested on the CocoFPGA at 25mhz and was reported to work fine. I hope to (maybe) get a CocoFPGA soon, and when I do, I will be glad to help get the drivers and all straightened out.> > > > > > > Bill Pierce> "Charlie stole the handle, and the train it won't stop going, no way to slow down!" - Ian Anderson - Jethro Tull> > > > My Music from the Tandy/Radio Shack Color Computer 2 & 3> https://sites.google.com/site/dabarnstudio/> Co-Contributor, Co-Editor for CocoPedia> http://www.cocopedia.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page> Global Moderator for TRS-80/Tandy Color Computer Forums> http://www.tandycoco.com/forum/> > E-Mail: ooogalapasooo at aol.com> > > > > > > -----Original Message-----> From: David Ladd <davidwladd at gmail.com>> To: CoCoList for Color Computer Enthusiasts <coco at maltedmedia.com>> Sent: Sat, May 14, 2016 10:02 pm> Subject: Re: [Coco] The Beta Test release of MShell> > On Sat, May 14, 2016 at 8:46 PM, Travis Poppe <travispoppe at gmail.com> wrote:> Curious if the new software hi-res joystick code might ever be> incorporated with MShell, or OS-9 in general?
