[Coco] two questions

Hi all,
I thought I asked this before, but don't remember the answer:

Is the NitrOS9 repository on SourceForge the latest and greatest, and if 
not, where do I get it?

Is it possible to download precompiled older versions of MAME/MESS for 
Ubuntu?
The latest versions(0.164?) appear to have problems when trying to 
select the floppy from the menu. It asks if I want readonly. readwrite 
and so forth, but when I select one, it crashes the programme.
