Gary, thanks for the clarification. While looking for better cross platform alternatives is a Good Thing, I kind of shared John's cringe on thinking of a total rewrite. Regards, Salvador

Yes -- the current plan is to replace the DirectX code with Qt, but not to
move away from C++.  It is more of a refactor than a port.
