There is also the Altera MAX3000A parts. A couple of those are still
available in PLCC packages (EPM3032 and EPM3064).  The comparable XC9500XL
parts have an advatage in the number of I/O pins and macrocells (36 or 72
macrocells for Xilinx versus 32 or 64 for Altera).
