[Coco] DW4 / Windows problem

I have been working on an FTP browser for NitrOS9 and have recently run into a problem with my DW4 server.
When I issue a DW4 command to return a directory listing from an FTP, I get:

Error 201: Unknown message with code "Software caused connection abort: socket write error".

I have successfully done this in the past with the very same version of DW4, so I do not think it a DW4 problem. It's not a Coco or Coco software problem because the same results occur if I issue the command from the Coco or from the DW4 console, trying to get directory listings from several different FTP sites, all of which I could get listings from about a year ago, so I believe it something in Windows that's not set quite right.
I have recently re-installed Windows twice (for unrelated reasons) and the command worked with the old installation but not the latest installation.

Anyone have any idea what I need to set to get this working again?
