To the best of my knowledge, OS-9 disks must be backed up from within 
OS9-NitrOS9.

There may be utilities that will allow you to backup OS-9 disks from within 
RS-DOS, but I don't know of them.

I'm sure someone here can direct you to such a utility if there is one 
available.
