Yeah, DD.SPT has been confusing me too.

Okay - I wrote a short BASIC09 program to open /sd0@ and read the $1200 byte boot track from $264 to $275 and write it to my /sd1.

"DOS" now finds it and tries to load :)  I need to get the rest of the stuff there -- shell, sysgo, CMDS, etc. -- since it halted at the end, but I bet this is what the toolshed tools do -- just use sectors instead of sides and such.

I see why cobbler/etc. needs to know. If they are using a REAL floppy, they must make sure they put the boot on side 0. But, is there any situation with a floppy where sector $264 would NOT be on that side anyway?

I'll check the sources.

Very close... Just can't do it with legacy utilities, it seems.
