[Coco] Can't copy real floppy to CoCo-SDC on a CoCo 2

Its a straight, flat 34 pin ribbon cable. Even if the cable were bad, why would SDC-DOS go into la-la land? I did try another CoCo-SDC, but exact same problem. I will try to re-flash SDC-DOS as Darren suggested. I can try a different disk cable as well.

It may be the cable. Are you using a straight through cable or one with
a twist in it?
