You can do this with 1.2M drives, but it takes more fussing with the 
data-rate translation parms in ImageDisk.  Also works better if you bulk 
erase the media with a substantive eraser to be sure you don't have bits 
of 40-track data left.  My Nortronics doorstop does a great job on this!
