[Coco] Problem w/HDBDos chip

Weirdness indeed. Something of course had to have changed..but what? 

I guess you would have to systematically check all possibilities in software and hardware.

* check/clean all connections
* reflash HDBDOS

Not since I've had it, no.

It worked on BOTH the 3 1/2" AND the 5 1/4" drives up until now.

Has the HDBDOS been modified in any way to use extra tracks or something that might exist on the 3 1/2" drives but doesn’t work for 5 1/4" drives?
