Hi Gene,

Yes, I'm safe here and air-conditioned.

I'm about 250km ENE of Brisbane, which is about half-way up the east coast 
of Australia.

It has been extremely dry here for some time.

I visited my in-laws in the Philippines during December, and it was 
reasonable comfortable at ~30C, but with lots of rain. I got back to Dalby 
with no rain and 42C temperatures :(
