Wow Allen... I didn't know WIlliam Barden was still around. It was his "TRS-80 Color Computer Assembly Language Programming" book that got me started in programming. I still reference it quite often today and know the chapters by heart. I wrote my first basic assembler based on that book as well as my first sound sampler/player. I used that assembler for about 2 years until I found the EdtAsm cart on sale for $10
You could say he was my "Coco Hero" :-)

William Barden, who wrote tons of articles in Rainbow and many CoCo-related
books sold through RadioShack, has an eBook out on JavaScript. I am going to
check it out -- it will be interesting seeing his writing style today versus
when he was teaching us 6809 assembly and BASIC.
