Roy,

There should be some way to cost reduce your device and just the price.  
We could start with lower cost PC boards and parts.  I'm getting my PC 
boards without the big $$$ that most change for setup.  I've also got a 
few parts suppliers that will deal with smaller shipments too.  (Their 
prices are about 1/10 the cost of places like Jameco, Mouser and DigiKey.)

The box and power supply is another place that we cut the price way down.

Bottom line, there is no reason that we can't more than 50% off what 
it's costing you in parts.
