I'm working on a Fest themed game. I've put some preliminary screen shots in my Photos directory.

It will basically be a Coco trivia game, but using a simple 3 dimensional maze of fest themed spaces and events that must be navigated a la the ZX81 classic game "Pit With Monsters" (a version of this called PM can be found on the MC-10 yahoo group in my Files space). Instead of monsters, you will encounter various "geeks" who you will try to best by answering their Coco (or generic 8-bit computing) trivia questions. When you are successful you will gain "geek cred" and you will win various Coco items worth $. When you fail, you will lose geek cred and be denied the items. Your mission will be to try to navigate up through the 10 floors of the hotel to make it to the top floor where the "No Minimum Bid Auction" is being held while obtaining as much $/Coco stuff as possible along the way. If your geek cred falls below 0, your fellow CocoFest attendees will throw you out of the hotel on suspicion of being an Atari or C64 user in disguise. Other random obstacles will force you back down a random number of floors. Instead of magic, you will be able to make use of a limited number of "floppies" which you can give to the other geeks in order to mollify them so they will let you pass with your cred intact. You will also be able to discover floppies as you explore.

If anyone would like to help me with trivia questions, please e-mail them to me at jimgerrie at ns.sympatico.ca in the following forms:
