yes you're missing all the point.

HDB-DOS will access drive 0 to 255 from your CF or hard disk, AKA virtual
disks. To access the floppy you must turn off the virtual drives by:

DRIVE OFF

or DRIVE OFF N

where N is from 0 - 3

Now form drive 0 to N you can access your floppies.
