Dennis,

The picture in the album was a initial version where more trimpots were connected for fine tunning. The instructions mentioned earlier was the final version. 
On the color lines, use a trimpot resistor with one end on the ground and the center on the signal line between 6847 and 1372. 
After that regulate using a program to generate colors on BASIC and some game using artifacting, like Zaxxon, Outhouse, etc.
