I won't try to defend Dino Wars as a game, but it does seem to me that  
it could be classified in modern terms as a simple "party game".  It  
also loosely resembles those later one-on-one sidescrolling fighting  
games such as Street Fighter, albeit with an extremely basic set of  
moves.
