Another option should be any OS9 terminal emulator.  For instance supercomm
works well but I'm not sure is l1 compatible.  Just open /n as your
serial/modem device.  Drivewire supports a full set of Hayes AT commands.
Use ATD1.2.3.4:5 to connect.
