[Coco] OT: situational improvement

The computer works. It consists of:

Dell CRT monitor
HP keyboard and mouse
Dell Optiplex tower with:

640 megs RAM
80 meg HD
1.6 GHz Premium 4 processor

I installed XP Professional and Office 2003 Professional. Windows Update is
having a problem. The error number resolves to a http 404 error. I think it
may be caused by a missing activeX control. I remember updates telling me
it needed it to do its job when I first installed XP on the notebook. It
didn't tell me anything this time, and there are other causes of that error.

I will be resolving this tomorrow. Once I have XP and Office updated (may
take awhile), and have textpad installed, I will be in business.
