It's apparently a legitimate mirror, and I suspect one of the
assistant admins put it there. There are web references to folks
reading some of the documentation from it, which means it's been
known and referenced. I don't frequent my maltedmedia server's ftp
because the directories are all read-only except 'incoming'. Three
assistant admins can add, move and delete files.
It's 4.7GB of material, and assuming it's clean, I normally have no
problem with it being there, expect for the site-suckers that
download stuff en masse. That jacks up my bandwidth, which is how I
noticed it doing bulk statistics since October.
I'll give it a few more days, and if I don't hear from anyone about
it, I'll take it down. In the meantime, I'll run some scrubby stuff
(neither software you mention is available on this server).
