[Coco] Off the wall question

What Bill is looking for is something like the old MS-DOS "dir /p" (for
pause after screen is full) or "dir /w" (for wide -- in columns across
the screen). I don't recall DECB having these switches, the stock OS-9
DIR didn't have them either. I think you have to hit the BREAK key to
stop screen scrolling, hit any key to restart, but be ready with the
BREAK key to stop again. Slowing the processor speed way down might be
the better way to do this. In OS-9 output could be directed to the
printer. There were some utilities to print the disk directory under
DECB. Message: 3 Date: Sun, 19 Feb 2012 08:21:55 -0500 From: Robert

I don't know if you are using the Coco3 or Coco2 emulator but both of Jeff's
emulators can control the speed of emulation from an entry in the Options menu.
You get to that menu with the F6 key.
So, if you have no other method for slowing a DIR, you could slow down emulation
before issuing the command.

It is necessary to slow down emulation of Jeff's emulators when using current
systems.
