Locally it seems the RS stores have each picked one of two paths..
some stores have become worse and worse, ending up as a cell phone
store, others are gradually getting better and stocking more kits,
Arduino type stuff, etc.  Point being that if you visit one local
store and find nothing of interest, you may want to check another or
call around.  The "good ones" do seem to be getting better with more
interesting stuff every time I stop in.
