I'm not 100% sure about the cable.  I have a faint recollection of unused 
lines in the cable.  I do have two boxes like that that I used for my CoCos. 
Both were modified for half height drives and one has a 3.5 switchable with 
a 5.25 along with two other 3.5 drives.
