Funny you should ask, I've been having a similar problem. I have the drivewire4 server software installed successfully on my Ubuntu Linux 12.04 laptop, but the server is not recognizing my serial port. The USB/Serial adapter I'm using is the Prolific PL2303, and the driver is successfully installed in Linux. The device has been assigned to port ttyUSB0. Drivewire is unable to find the port. It says it doesn't exist. I see the file for it in the /dev directory, however. Sorry if this has been discussed& answered before. I have a Coco3 running the most recent version of NITROS9. The serial cable is plugged into the Coco's bit-banger port.
