[Coco] dbg.l

Hi,

I did some poking around early today. I found out why you asked Gene and
Boisy.

Have you seen any mention of "trace_c" or DEBUG for Level II?

If yes then some files I found in a CIS archive might help.

That archive was too small for what should have been on CIS, the place that
sources might have been provided.

CIS was ten times bigger than Delphi and while some binaries were copied to
Delphi, the sources usually were not.

But thinking about "C" Source level debugging, I would have not have created
an OS-9 version of the magazine article had I seen any thing like what I
think you are looking for.

In any case, I would have made the connection when I got Turbo "C" from
Borland.

While I have found some chatter about "dbg.l" from the days of Delphi and
CIS, no real evidence that anyone was really using it.

What is your reason for trying to find the missing parts? If you succeed it
will be machine code level of debugging IMHO.

I have a model of how "C" Source level debugging could be created for OS-9
"C", it is not a simple job requiring changes to the "C" compiler, the
linker and lots of new code.
